Bike Ride for Mental Health Awareness 

Join us for a Mental Health Awareness Bike Ride on the Trout Run Trail around Decorah, Ia.

About the ride:

Peace Be the Journey: Bike Ride for Mental Health Awareness will take place to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and raise funds for education, support, and advocacy for those living with mental health conditions and their family, friends, neighbors, and communities. All funds go directly towards programming throughout our five service counties: Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Fayette, and Clayton.

Registration:

Early bird registrants will receive a t-shirt that they may pick up at the bike ride. Registration fees increase by $5 each after early registration closes on Sept 15, 2019. Registration on the day of the event will be available. Due to the charitable purposes of this event, unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds in the event the ride is cancelled.

Course:

The course for the bike ride will be the closed loop Trout Run Trail beginning at the Decorah Fish Hatchery, 2325 Siewers Spring Rd, Decorah, winding its way through the countryside on the outskirts of Decorah, and ending back at the hatchery. www.troutruntrail.com

9:30-12:30 Registration
10:00 Welcoming comments & Opening Remarks with Sheriff Marx 
10:30 Door Prizes 
10:45 Ride begins 
10:00-1:00 Kymar Kafe, Peake Orchards caramel apple sundaes, bouncy house, face painting, resources and sponsorship tables

Safety:

The safety of all those involved is extremely important to us; and we ask that you please wear helmets. Please bring your own water.

Family Fun and Food:

Food from the Kymar Kafe and caramel apples will be available for purchase. A free bouncy house and face painting will be available for riders and the public. Fresh air, feeding the fish at the hatchery, enjoying the waterfall, the stream and the natural environment, and potential eagle sightings included!
